Corsin Blumenthal joined swisspeace in June 2017 as an intern with the Dealing with the Past Program. He holds an MA in Global Governance and World Society from the University of Lucerne and worked previously as an international human rights observer with Peace Brigades International (PBI) in Guatemala. His tasks included the observation and accompaniment of Guatemalan civil society organizations and human rights defenders, and liaison with Guatemalan and international authorities and institutions. Corsin also interned with the PBI Office in Bern and with the communications department of the city of Aarau. During his studies, he did an internship with the Comisión de Derechos Humanos in Lima, where he conducted interviews with victims of human rights violations.
