Danielle Furgler holds an MSc Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS, University of London, and a BA in Social Anthropology and Economics from the Universities of Berne and Fribourg. Prior to her postgraduate degree, she lived in Cairo, Egypt, where she worked with UN Women and as Junior Project Assistant at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). She also spent some time in Quito, Ecuador, where she volunteered at the Fundación Sol de Primavera working with adolescents. Before joining the swisspeace Mediation Program, she was responsible for a center for asylum seeking people in the Canton of Lucerne. Danielle Furgler is fluent in German, French, English, Spanish and Arabic and supports the swisspeace Mediation Program in different projects.
