Matthias Boss holds a MSc in Public Policy and Management from the University of London, and a postgraduate Diploma in Development Cooperation from the Federal Institute of Technology. At undergraduate level, he studied business administration. Before joining swisspeace, Matthias worked as a senior consultant and partner at KEK-CDC Consultants, where his focus was on organizational development, program design and evaluation. In this capacity, he worked for organizations involved in international cooperation as well as federal and canton administrations concerned with Swiss domestic issues. Prior to this, he managed a large governance program for Intercooperation in Bangladesh, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC); acted as resident advisor in a SDC program in Sikkim (India); and managed Intercooperation’s engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as in Kosovo. Matthias started his professional career at Swiss Interchurch Aid, where he advised the director on issues of organizational development and was responsible for establishing a financial controlling system. Matthias joined the directorate of swisspeace in June 2014.
