Content: swisspeace in cooperation with the Swiss Foundation for Research in Social Science supports the PD IV of the FDFA in the area of electoral support within the Swiss peace policy. Guidance and expert advice are provided in particular in regard to violent conflicts during electoral processes.
Gender Backstopping on Women, Peace and Security

Content: The Center for Peacebuilding (KOFF) supports PDIV in the thematic area of Gender & Peacebuilding. As such, KOFF provides guidance to promote gender mainstreaming in the implementation of the PDIV peacebuilding programs and supports the gender advisor in the development and implementation of the Swiss National Action Plan on the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (2010-2012). Moreover, KOFF facilitates an inclusive dialogue and consultation process with Swiss NGO's on the role of civil society in the monitoring of the Swiss National Action Plan 1325.
Gender and Humanitarian Aid

Content: Support to the gender mainstreaming process within the humanitarian aid department of SDC including guidance and support for the systematic integration of gender at the institutional level as well as in the implementation of programs and projects. The mandate emphasizes on gender-sensitive approaches in crisis and conflict.
