Mandate for the Swiss FDFA and the UK government , 2016-2017

Joint Analysis of Conflict and Stability (JACS) in Mozambique

The mandate, conducted jointly by swisspeace and an independent consultant, entailed a thorough strategic level analysis of conflict and insecurity in Mozambique with a focus on the Renamo-Frelimo conflict, organized crime, and violent extremism. The conflict analysis will be followed by a portfolio analysis of the Swiss and UK development programs in Mozambique. Together, these analyses helped to inform and advise the UK and Swiss development cooperation to contribute to stability, resilience and peace in the country. Capacity building events further buttressed this endeavor.
