Advanced Learning Courses


Mediation

The annual  Peace Mediation Course is organized by the Mediation Support Project (MSP) and lasts for two weeks. Participants acquire the skills needed to support mediation processes effectively. The course focuses on peace negotiations that include the top leadership of conflict parties and a mediator or a facilitator.

Dealing with the Past

The annual Advanced Learning Course on Dealing with the Past is designed to train professionals from governmental and multilateral institutions as well as national and international NGOs.

swisspeace is participating in the following two Advanced Studies Programs as partner of the University of Basel:

New CAS in Civilian Peacebuilding

swisspeace launches a new post-graduate program which provides in-depth knowledge of civilian peace promotion tools and the latest methods of  peacebuilding. For more information contact Franziska Sigrist. Visit the CAS Website.

Master of Advanced European Studies (MAES)

Participants will analyze insights into conflict and development that were gained from the process of European integration. Another focus is on the European influence on different regions in the world, particularly Africa, Asia, and South America.

KOFF Training Series

The KOFF yearly training series consists of a number of short training courses (2 to 3 days) on specific aspects of civilian peacebuilding.

Tailor-Made Trainings

swisspeace and KOFF offers tailor-made trainings for governmental, international and non-governmental organizations on a variety of topics, including: Dealing with the PastMediationReflecting on Peace Practice, Do no Harm, Conflict Analysis, Evaluation, Gender.
Trainings are individualized, introductory or advanced, context-specific, people-to-people or web-based. 
The e-learning courses on mediation are designed to provide a first introduction to various topics related to peace processes, negotiations and mediation.
