Russia, Ukraine & Caucasus Region

swisspeace conducts research and provides expert supprt on Russia, Ukraine and the Caucasus region. It has developed expertise in particular through its Ukraine-Russia Dialogue project (2014-2015) and its Humanitarian Dialogue Project (2006-2012) in the North Caucasus.

The Center for Peacebuilding (KOFF) has organized regular roundtables on the region, including on Ukraine, bringing together representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as academia, to share experiences and lessons learned from the field.

As a member of the OSCE-wide NGO-network ‘Civic Solidarity Platform’, swisspeace attended the OSCE Parallel Civil Society Conference in Hamburg on 6 and 7 December 2016. At this event, civil society representatives from across the OSCE regions discussed human dimension issues in the context of the OSCE’s comprehensive security concept.
