Trainings
The swisspeace Dealing with the Past program provides a wide range of training opportunities including introductory courses and courses on more specific aspects of Dealing with the Past. An Advanced Learning Course for Professionals is jointly organized with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. swisspeace also designs and conducts trainings which are tailored to the demands of specific actors and contexts. Research
The Dealing with the Past Program contributes to the research-policy nexus at swisspeace through its research projects, research events, conferences, publications and teaching. The Dealing with the Past research activities are connected to a network of scholars and practitioners in Switzerland and elsewhere and focus on: analyzing dealing with the past processes, interrogating assumptions and norms which underpin dealing with the past processes, and identifying innovative and informative avenues for future research. swisspeace supports governmental and non-governmental actors in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Dealing with the Past activities.
