Tahir Cinar studied economics at the University of Fribourg and later specialized in computer science. He holds a diploma in network administration from the University of Darmstadt (1999). He has worked in the areas of Mac, PC, and NT/PC support as well as general computer and network administration for a variety of firms (PC Discount, CD-Rom Jacob in Berne, and Berner Technologie Park, 1996-1997). Since 1999 he has worked as a computer scientist for the School of Dental Medicine, University of Berne. In 2004, he succesfully completed his training as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and in 2005 as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Since 1998 Tahir Cinar has been  in charge of PC and software support as well as network administration with swisspeace.
