swisspeace's Early Warning Program - FAST International

Our early warning program FAST International, which was operational from 1998-2008, covered 25 countries or regions in Africa, Asia and Europe. Our work was aimed at enhancing the ability of decision makers and their staff in state and non-state institutions to identify critical developments in a timely manner so that coherent political strategies could be formulated to either prevent or limit destructive effects of violent conflicts, or to identify windows of opportunity for peacebuilding.

Consultancies

FAST International is committed to ensuring that the expertise we acquire through our work is used to strengthen political early warning systems of state and non-state organizations, including foreign offices, development agencies, international organizations, and NGOs. We provide the core methodology on quantitative as well as qualitative analysis, drawing on ten years of experience in running and applying the FAST methodology.
