Christa Dold holds an MA in psychology from the University of Zurich. Her Master's thesis examined the inter-relation between community violence and socio-moral development of South African adolescents. She spent ten months in South Africa conducting primary research and working for a range of NGOs in the social and human rights sector. Before joining swisspeace, she was communication officer and field volunteer coordinator for Peace Brigades International. She also worked for the campaigning department of Amnesty International's Swiss section and is one of their long term volunteer specialists on the death penalty. At swisspeace she is head of communications and responsible for the monthly KOFF Newsletter.
