Center for Peacebuilding

The aim of the Center for Peacebuilding (KOFF) is to promote a coherent peace policy between the Swiss authorities, aid agencies, and other NGOs. It is sponsored by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and numerous Swiss non-governmental organizations.

Mediation Support

Mediation Support Project (MSP) aims to strengthen capacities in the area of international mediation & facilitation by focusing on research, training and networking. The Mediation Support Project is a joint venture between swisspeace and the Center for Security Studies, ETH Zurich.

BEFORE - Action to Prevent Political Violence

BEFORE (formerly known as Global Crisis Prevention Mechanism - GCPM) aims to bridge the gap between existing early warning information and early response. Based on systematic country monitoring, local and international organizations will develop strategies to promote sustainable peace in countries at risk of violent conflict. swisspeace serves as secretariat to BEFORE.

 

Humanitarian Dialogue

The project Humanitarian Dialogue aims to improve the security of the civil population in Chechnya. swisspeace is working in collaboration with two Russian non-governmental organizations FEWER Eurasia and Peace Mission of General Lebed. The project is being financed by the Political Affairs Division IV (PA IV) of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) as well as by the Swedish Foreign Affairs Ministry.
