Israel/Palestine
Swiss peacebuilding activities
Since the beginning of the Oslo-Process in the Middle East, Swiss state and non-state actors have become increasingly involved in the region, especially in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Their activities range from working with refugees, women, former detainees and victims of torture, to supporting human rights organisations, conflict resolution and dialogue programs, civil peace missions and security sector reform. Switzerland is also part of the TIPH-Mission in Hebron.
KOFF activities
A KOFF Israel/Palestine Roundtable has been running since summer 2002. It brings together Swiss non-governmental and governmental organisations but also other key-players like academia and the Diaspora living in Switzerland. The thematic foci of the KOFF Israel/Palestine Roundtable range from highly topical, political questions on the ground to questions of complementarity and coherence among Swiss governmental and non-governmental actors and strategies.
